We believe there is a critical link between many of the problems that threaten our future and our state government, which has become ineffective, unresponsive, and unable (and unwilling) to fix itself.

The key to saving our state and the California Dream is to repair our broken government, so it is transparent, accountable, and focuses on results. We need our state government to be innovative in how it produces results; and we need our state government to find cost-effective solutions to improving our schools, transportation, and public safety.

California Forward, a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization, is working to bring government closer to the people. We believe empowered local communities are best equipped to solve their own problems.
