New Years eve this year was a quiet evening at home with my happy family!
At one time I would be out DJ\\\'ing or jamming with friends but recent events kept us at home this year. The surgery kind of settled me out this year.
Most of the stiches are nearly out thanks to StupidVideos.com and the crazy entertainment!
I am looking forward to posting some new videos in 2007.
Enjoy the videos!
What a weekend...

Melted into some narcotic induced fever that I can scarcely recall. Sure there were moments where I wondered why I agreed to the surgery at this time of year. I must have been insane! But the waiting list for any sort of surgical work in this province is months to years (no joke). Now that is behind me and I am feeling vastly improved thanks to a great deal of rest and a little codeine. The T3 or Atasol 30\\\'s have mucho acetominophen which can be real toxic to your liver if not taken with a bit of caution. Always a downside to everything. The video I shot the day after my surgery was edited today and a number of DVD\'s were produced for the other parents. Took my mind off of eveything else for a few minutes.
The day after...

Did you know that morphine burns at the subcutaneous injection site? It really does not kill the pain like an analgesic, it just puts you in a space that is very warm and inviting. Kind of itches all over when its done. My brain went into a loop for the past 24 hours, picking at bits of colours and snippets of sound. Now that my head is cleared all that remains is the dull sting of the instruments used in \"repaiing\" my body. A glacial wind stirs my insides like when you have a really bad cold or flu and just can\'t get warm.
I left the hospital this morning to come to my daughter\'s first Christmas/Holiday concert. I had to film it. She will probably never be cognizant of what that seemingly simple act took to accomplish nor will I ever look for recognition. I am a parent. That is my job inspite of the agony and ice running through my veins. There are stiches inside and out that feel like they tear a little more with each tap of the keyboard. The itching is driving me crazy and the heat in this room has been maxed to 25 degrees celsius.
I did spend two hours in bed shivering and now must edit the video shot today for a short time. Maybe it too, like the morphine, will take me away from the post operative pain and replace the numbness with something lasting...
Oh boy! Surgery tomorrow...

So Tuesday morning I drive to a specialist about an hour away.
The meeting is short and merciful.
The surgery is scheduled for tommorrow to repair a couple hernias that have a serious nature in my abdominal area. They run the risk of burst and strangulation.
So on the 20th of Nov I find myself out of work for the first time in my working life. Good thing life is short eh? Just kidding, not to be bothered.
And within a month a little emergency surgery to repair a few issues that have been growing, of course men never take this stuff seriously till there\'s a tag around their toe.
The surgery is only two hours and requires a night stay for post operative pain and bleeding. The recouperation time is 6 weeks...
Not to worry! Since I am without labour the days will all melt away into a...aww nevermind.
We have the Hillbilly Housecats and some more editing to do!
I took the original Crash Kitty! and left the sound unedited so that awful thump you hear has not been altered in any way. It is indeed a bone jarring slam and the poor kitten tentatively keeps a paw in the air as a challenge.
Is it funny?
You decide.
Oh, and if these posts become more bizarre in the coming weeks its probably the pain killers.
Thanks for stopping by!
Is there anybody out there?
