Not like a series against a potential play-off foe is a big deal or anything. Here is what irks me. During the off-season these players set up such a rigid timeline to get them ready for the season. That is setting up the whole mid-season time off issue. Really guys, stop being so selfish. Parenting, baseball, committment, family, life, new baby with tags babies, celebrity babies, making babies, sports, sports and babies. Since they travel so much, when october finally roles around, their wives are anxious to see them. Say one thing and say it well. We expected to see a great game. Molina essentially said as such. Then we had a brawl. And then we had a kicking competition. Cena were disappointed with what they saw. It was the first time i had witnessed a brawl, in person, where both benches cleared. There were some things that i noticed, from at least the fan perspective, last night. As we were driving to the game, i called a high inside pitch and possible brawl. The fact it came in the first was evident that tempers were as high as the humidity in the stadium. Reds play a lot with emotion and could not control their emotions after the brawl. Several mistakes made in the field were a result of either trying to hard or not knowing the game situation. Reds are not used to playing with the pressure of a pennant race. We are connected by the taught ropes of our spirals no one else can see.
