I never really did well in school. My grades proved that. Take math for example. When I took a placement test for college, I placed into Algebra II and Calculus. My genius told me to take a lower algebra course. It would still count towards my major and I’d pass it no problem. Three tries in three semesters and I finally passed the class with a D. Math, obviously, isn’t one of my strong suits. There are some things that I understand and some things I just don’t. Here are things I have no chance of understanding, ever.

The Indiana fast food industry took a major hit today. But not from the struggling economy or a new health scare. But, it was announced today that Charlier Weis tore both his ACL and MCL in a collision on the sidelines during Saturday's game with Michigan. Weis was bowled over in the rain and took a nasty spill to the ground, resulting in the injury. He emerged after halftime wearing a cast on his knee and sporting crutches. It is believed he will in the cast for 4-6 weeks, and unable to drive during that time.

After two weeks of football, here are some things I know for a certainty:

- The bad teams this year are pathetic.
- There is no unbeatable team.
- Refs miss too many calls.
- Eddie Royal is the best rookie, period.
- At least four coaches will be fired by February and maybe some before season ends.
- Bill Cowher will coach again in 2009.
- Too many football analysts are afraid to be critical.
- Too many football analysts state the obvious.
- Troy Aikman is football’s best color commentator -- and it’s not even close.

Talk about your high-scoring weekends of football, huh? There were six quarterbacks that threw for three or more touchdowns. Eight quarterbacks threw for over 300 yards. And that was just the beginning. Nine teams put up over 30 points, which was a stark contrast to the five teams that threw up that total in Week 1.
