Pennies for Heroes was founded on the core principle of providing help for those men and women who have paid huge sacrifices on behalf of their individual communities and our country and have not been rewarded properly by society. Soldiers returning home from battlefields abroad, scarred by major injury or killed in action are compensated very little for their sacrifice.
