You heard the same things i heard. Anyway, back to classes. Descartes mentions the things that can be doubted. Everything we know through sense experience can be doubted, because we know that sometimes our senses and experience can be mistaken. For example, a few nights ago i thought i heard someone knocking at the door, so i got up to answer it, but it was actually my roommate pushing her chair away from her desk. In that case, my sense of hearing deceived me. So there are still some things that remain certain. Then, he points out, he has succeeded in proving that everything can be doubted. The nerd in me finds philosophy mind-bogglingly exciting. At least i know what to expect. When i got there, a science and technology class was meeting there. Okay, fine, whatever. Linguistics department. Spanish class was an hour and forty-five minutes long. Maybe i will sometime. It was a two-day overnight trip. That was painfully early. Accra when we visited during the first week. Seriously, i want to lodge a complaint with someone. When drivers try to overtake, as most are eager to do, they invariably drive the wrong way down the other lane, and must hurry over to the proper side of the street or else meet in a head-on collision. Americans do, on the right side of the road.
