incidentally, there\'s a program called Hypercam 2 that records whatever\'s on the screen...same idea.
well, I\'m sure there\'s probably a camera that does that but there\'s not much reason why you would use a camera. Any VCR will do it fine and some DVD players do it too. The closest thing I can think of to what you\'re asking is VHS-C. It\'s a tape that some video cameras use and you can get an adapter that lets you play or record things to it using your VCR.

It\'s pretty good for $15; the video quality is decent. You just stick it in your computer and you plug in the yellow, white and red cables.
Of, course the REAL way to do it is get some kind of DVR like TiVo.
